A few helpful hints:

 1. Feeding your dog on a schedule will help when house training your dog.

 2. If you bathe your dog more than once a month you may be drying his skin. This can be a cause of dry flaky skin and/or shedding more than usual.

 3. Feeding your dog a "Premium" dry dog food brand can help slow shedding, give your dog a thicker shinier coat, lead to less stool to clean up in the back yard and help alleviate skin and ear problems caused by ingredients many non-premium dry foods contain. (Premium dry foods list meat as the first and main ingredient and do NOT contain soy, artificial preservatives or colors)

 4. Feeding your dog treats can lead to a picky eater and/or behavior issues.
Obedience training is great exercise for your dogs mind and can actually calm your dog faster than physical exercise!!

 5. Remember! If you repeat words or phrases to your dog or shout at your dog constantly soon the words, phrases, and shouting becomes nothing more than "badgering" to your canine companion and leads to your dog's lack of attention and loss of obedience.

 6. Never use your dogs crate for punishment. Try to crate your dog for at a short time when you are home. If you only crate your dog when you go to sleep or leave the house soon your dog's crate can be negative to him and lead to crating problems.

 7. If you do NOT pull your dog back on the leash when he goes to the end of his leash, you will not teach him to pull you!!

 8. Dominance can only exist within the dogs family (you and your family) over objects or food etc. Dominance is a social issue.
