About
Our Beagles: Kyleewood Beagles has proudly been
working to improve the Beagle since 1980. Kyleewood
Beagles are unique in many ways. They are of course as
all Beagles should be, extremely friendly and loving
dogs. Our selective breeding program, (when we have had
litters) has been to produce a healthy Beagle that
conforms to the American Kennel Club standard of Beagle
conformation as well as a Beagle with desire to please
it's owner and a more trainable temperament. I am proud
to say that my Beagles can be handled off leash in just
about any situation and obey commands with attention
held by me. I have proudly boasted of my Beagle Grace's
television series, AKC obedience titles and her
unbelievable ability to learn new commands almost
immediately.

Kyleewood
Beagles Stand Out In A Crowd. Our Grace actually
outshined the star Dalmatian from the movie "101 Dalmatians"
while performing for crowds at the same location and time
that he was (promoting the grand opening of a store.) We
were asked to stop performing as the people were leaving the
Dalmatian movie star to view Grace's performance instead. We
were also contacted by "Animal Actors Of Hollywood" when
they were putting a four Beagle dog team together to film
the first movie of "Cats And Dogs". Brandon was considered
for the job but could not fit the physical match up close
enough. He was a bit too small and stocky (as he should be).
Little did they realize that Brandon would have been a dog
team of one if they had him! They would not need a team of
Beagles as he could do it all himself! At 14 yrs of age,
Grace was learning new commands and tricks quicker than ever
(something that causes me to grin every time I'm asked if
old dogs can learn new tricks). Every Beagle I have bred
since Grace is related to her and it shows in their good
looks and great behavior. Archie (Grace's Grandson) and Dax
(Grace's Great Grandson), are just two of my current Beagles
that continue to show others their superior behavior,
intelligence and loyalty to us. Our dogs can boast of some
great bloodlines in the show ring as well as a background in
obedience titled Beagles.

It is illegal in the state of Ohio to sell a puppy
before 8 weeks of age.!!
In recent years, Kyleewood
Beagles has moved more toward all breed dog training and
serving as a source to rescue Beagles in need. I do not have
litters often and when I do it's usually for the purpose of
continuing the quality bloodline I have established over
many years. When I do place puppies it is only in homes as
house pets to be loved and cherished for their entire lives.
Kyleewood is NOT a commercial kennel and does not sell dogs
for breeding purposes. Our Beagles are our beloved (and very
spoiled) pets and companions. Dogs that are considered for
the show ring will be placed under a separate contract drawn
up in the best interest of the puppy. Pups are handled from
day one to insure they are very socialized and friendly
before going to new homes. Of course, they are born and
raised inside our home as part of the family.
Pricing And Puppy Information:
Puppies are placed in new homes at a base cost of $450.00 and up.
Puppies usually go to their new homes around 9 weeks of age with 2 sets
of vaccines given. This insures that they leave with a good deal of
protection. The pups dewclaws will have been removed. Puppies that are
separated from their siblings before 8 weeks have been known to develop
health issues as well as temperament problems. If a deposit is given to
hold a puppy, it is NOT refundable should the interested party cancel
for any reason. If Kyleewood cancels the home placement, any money's
given will be refunded in full. Kyleewood reserves the right to cancel
placement of a puppy at our discretion. A Kyleewood Beagle Contract must
be signed to insure that the puppy is going to a loving home for life.
Help and counseling is available to all puppies or adults placed by
Kyleewood Beagles.

Kyleewood Beagle's contract is our promise to take full
responsibility for any puppy or adult we place for that Beagle's
lifetime. We must be sure that all Kyleewood puppies or
adults are placed in loving homes where their best interest is
the priority. Much time and thought should be given
before a decision is made to add a dog or puppy to your family.
Remember, a pet is for a lifetime.
